This Property Website was created & listed by Charlotte Bonini of C21 Redwood Realty. It is worth noting the wonderful care she took in writing her Property Description, which excludes real estate jargon and focuses on telling a story. Our favorite fun fact follows…
“The most famous of visitors was General Robert E. Lee who was brought to Glenfiddich after being thrown by his horse Traveller and sustaining injuries to his wrists. It was while recuperating that General Lee called together a war council with his closest advisors: Generals Stonewall Jackson, Armistead, Stuart and Longstreet. It was in the dining room that they planned the Confederate attack on Maryland, which culminated in the Battle of Antietam, the tactical turning point in the American Civil War that led to Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation.”
